Copyright & Intellectual Property Policy
Ruby Broadcast Network (RBN Broadcast)

1. PURPOSE & LEGAL AUTHORITY
This Copyright & Intellectual Property Policy (“Policy”) sets out the legal framework governing ownership, protection, licensing, enforcement, and dispute resolution relating to all intellectual property made available on RBN Broadcast platforms.
This Policy is issued to protect proprietary rights, comply with applicable copyright laws, and limit the liability of Bani Global Industries LLP arising from unauthorized use, infringement claims, or third-party misuse.
This Policy shall be read in conjunction with the Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, DMCA Policy, and other applicable platform policies.
2. OWNERSHIP DECLARATION
All intellectual property appearing on RBN Broadcast, including but not limited to:
- News articles and editorial content
- Music, audio recordings, soundtracks, and compositions
- Video content, broadcasts, and visual media
- Gurbani Kirtan recordings and devotional programming
- Logos, trademarks, brand names, taglines, and trade dress
- Website design, layout, code, metadata, and databases
is either: (a) owned by Bani Global Industries LLP, or (b) lawfully licensed, assigned, or used with permission from the respective rights holders.
No ownership rights are transferred to users by mere access or use of the platform.
3. COPYRIGHT PROTECTION SCOPE
All content is protected under:
- The Copyright Act, 1957 (India)
- Applicable international copyright conventions
- Contractual and licensing agreements
Copyright protection applies regardless of whether the content is marked with a copyright notice.
4. TRADEMARKS & BRAND ASSETS
“Ruby Broadcast Network”, “RBN Broadcast”, associated logos, and all brand identifiers are proprietary trademarks or trade names.
Unauthorized use, imitation, or registration of confusingly similar marks is strictly prohibited.
The LLP reserves the right to initiate trademark infringement and passing-off actions.
5. LICENSE GRANTED TO USERS
Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to:
- Access and stream content
- View or listen for personal, non-commercial use only
This license expressly excludes:
- Downloading or copying
- Redistribution or rebroadcast
- Public performance or communication to the public
- Commercial exploitation
- Creation of derivative works
6. PROHIBITED USES
Users shall not, without prior written authorization:
- Copy, record, reproduce, or archive content
- Upload platform content to third-party websites or platforms
- Use music or Gurbani Kirtan for reels, films, ads, or monetized content
- Alter, remix, dub, or synchronize audio or video
- Remove copyright notices or metadata
Any such act constitutes infringement and breach of contract.
7. MUSIC & AUDIO RIGHTS SPECIFIC PROVISIONS
Music and audio content may involve multiple rights, including:
- Sound recording rights
- Musical composition rights
- Lyrics and publishing rights
Streaming permission does not imply synchronization, reproduction, or performance rights.

8. RELIGIOUS & GURBANI CONTENT PROTECTION
Gurbani Kirtan content is protected as:
- Literary works
- Musical works
- Sound recordings
Unauthorized copying, distortion, remixing, or commercial use is strictly prohibited.
The platform does not waive rights on religious or devotional grounds.
9. THIRD-PARTY CONTENT & LICENSED MATERIAL
Certain content may be licensed from third parties.
Such content remains subject to the original rights holder’s terms.
Users shall not assume reuse rights unless expressly granted.
10. COPYRIGHT COMPLAINTS & TAKEDOWN
Rights holders who believe their work has been infringed may submit a written complaint including:
- Proof of ownership
- Identification of the infringing content
- URL or platform reference
- Declaration of good-faith belief

Upon verification, the LLP may remove, disable, or restrict access to the content.
11. COUNTER-NOTIFICATION (WHERE APPLICABLE)
Parties whose content is removed may submit a counter-notice with legal justification.
The LLP reserves discretion to restore or permanently remove content.
12. REPEAT INFRINGER POLICY
Repeated or willful infringement may result in:
- Permanent content removal
- Termination of access
- Legal proceedings
Determination of repeat infringement rests solely with the LLP.
13. NO WAIVER OF RIGHTS
Failure to enforce rights does not constitute waiver.
All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
14. INDEMNITY
Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless the LLP from claims arising out of:
- Unauthorized use of content
- Copyright or trademark infringement
- Breach of this Policy
15. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
The LLP shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Liability, if any, is limited to the extent permitted by law.
16. GOVERNMENT & COURT ORDERS
Content may be disclosed, blocked, or removed pursuant to lawful orders.
The LLP may comply without prior notice to users.
17. POLICY UPDATES
This Policy may be amended at any time.
Continued use constitutes acceptance of revisions.
18. GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION
This Policy shall be governed by Indian law.
Courts having jurisdiction over the registered office of the LLP shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
