Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday presented her ninth consecutive Union Budget in the Parliament, creating a landmark moment in India’s fiscal and parliamentary history. With this presentation, she becomes one of the longest-serving finance ministers to consecutively table the Union Budget.

The Budget was presented in the Indian Parliament amid heightened expectations from industry, middle-class taxpayers, farmers, and youth, as the government seeks to balance economic growth, fiscal discipline, and social welfare.

During her address, the Finance Minister outlined the government’s macroeconomic vision, focusing on infrastructure development, capital expenditure, job creation, manufacturing growth, digital economy expansion, and welfare-driven governance. Special emphasis was placed on long-term economic stability and inclusive growth.

The proceedings were broadcast live by Sansad TV, allowing citizens across the country to closely follow the government’s policy roadmap for the upcoming financial year.

Economic experts believe the ninth Budget reflects policy continuity and administrative stability, while also laying the foundation for future reforms in taxation, public investment, and social security frameworks.
