In a disturbing incident raising serious questions over passenger safety and airport security protocols, a staff member at Kempegowda International Airport has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a South Korean national during a security check.

The accused has been identified as Mohammed Affan Ahmed, an airport staffer deployed in the security area.

According to police officials, the incident occurred when the victim was preparing to travel and was stopped during routine procedures.

What the victim allegedIn her complaint to the authorities, the woman stated that the accused informed her that her check-in luggage was emitting a “beeping sound”, which immediately caused her concern.

Trusting the staff member and fearing a technical or security issue, she agreed to undergo a personal security check.

However, the situation reportedly took a horrific turn when the accused allegedly took her to the men’s washroom area, instead of a designated screening zone, and molested her.
